PRICE (Pakistan Registry of Intensive CarE) is a health service registry of patients who need more than the normal ward care during hospitalisation, in terms of monitoring or organ support in a designated area of hospital. We collect data on all patients admitted to
ICUs that form part of a network. The information collected and entered into the registry is de-identified and can in no way be traced back to the patient
once entered. This data is analysed to evaluate the outcomes of patients admitted to ICUs on the registry, and to provide feedback to the hospitals on quality indicators.
PRICE uses a web-based platform to collect information. Designated data collectors in the ICU will enter de-identified data related to the patient's admission. This data is stored in very secure servers with access only to authorised personnel.
All steps are taken to ensure that the data always remains confidential and secure.
